Revenue Retention and Engagement Manager

The newly developed Professional Membership team is responsible for recruiting and retaining members of the world’s foremost influential business membership. We equip ambitious professionals with the essential intelligence and tools they need to better lead their industries, grow their businesses and advance their careers.       Responsibilities include:

Reporting to the Global Membership Director, this position will support the revenue growth in our new Professional Membership unit by enabling our sales teams to improve member retention. The candidate will have the ability to develop a deep understanding of our existing customers and prospects. They will also understand our offerings inside and out. Specifics include:

 

 

  • Develop and deliver the member communications strategy for WSJ Professional Industry and Executive memberships, that is focussed on increasing revenue, reducing churn, resuscitating lapsed customers, and increasing customer engagement;
  • Using data insights and CRM to plan, create and optimise lifecycle campaigns to drive engagement through the funnel, from onboarding through to advocacy;
  • Understanding the book of business and assess likelihood of renewal, using metrics such as current engagement and contact history;
  • Work closely with the membership account management teams to:

 

      • Provide team strategies and tools to enable improved renewal conversations;
      • Be proactive in identifying ‘at risk’ members and enacting preventative campaigns;
      • Create prioritized lists and help strategize with the sales team the best plan of attack for their territories;
      • Identify strong cross-sell and upsell opportunities for each client and work with the sales team on their pitches for the additional business;

 

  • Monitor metrics and analytics of campaigns to garner insights on member behavior to drive actionable next steps;
  • Develop and deliver a reporting suite for the WSJ Professional management team, making recommendations on strategy based on observations and analysis;
  • Plan, create and execute (working with editorial and event teams) member events, including breakfast briefings, webinars and conference calls;

  • Partner with the Marketing and creative teams on asset creation and delivery.

 

 

Requirements:

 

  • 2-5 years experience in B2B retention marketing;
  • Experience working with a sales team;
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills;
  • Strong analytical skills;
  • Data-driven marketer, who understands how to use automation to improve productivity and optimisation;
  • Proven ability to multi-task and adhere to tight deadlines in a fast paced, collaborative environment;
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office suite;
  • Bachelor’s degree.
  • Experience with Salesforce.com
