Job Description

As the business manager for the Office of the Chief Solutions Officer, you will undertake a range of activities to support the Executive and help the CSO operate his/her team.

 

The role is designed to provide a high level of support to the Executive that incorporates awareness and knowledge of business needs and objectives to ensure their time is used as effectively and efficiently as possible. The Business Manager is responsible for keeping aware of activity around the business and disseminating information and actions to Executive, his/her direct reports and to other managers and employees as needed. S/he is expected to serve as a/the main point of contact for the Executive on a day-to-day basis, ensuring all needs/asks are promptly and consistently resolved. You should have strong communication skills, a professional demeanor and the ability to handle confidential information. You will be someone who enjoys being a team player, and can handle many different types of people with tact and courtesy. You will be working directly with the CSO, giving support to their mission and vision for the company and their departments.
 
As the business manager for the Office of the Chief Solutions Officer, you will:
  • Be in charge of daily administrative tasks such as managing the CSO's schedule, business travel plans, phones, expenses, drafting correspondence, and organizing work flow.
  • Time manage CSO and make strategic decisions on meeting cadence, priorities and delegation.
  • Play a role in helping communicate to and coordinate the CSO's team of over 100 employees (mainly in New York (distributed across 3 floors), with some in Asia and London) across six different direct reports.
  • Schedule, prepare, coordinate, and attend weekly meetings with the CSO.  Provide email summaries of meetings with actions and owners.
  • Ensure the productivity and deliverability of the CSO's team. 
  • Help the CSO create a positive, collaborative culture with team building activities, workshops and town halls.
Requirements:
  • A college degree (or equivalent work experience)
  • Job experience in other large companies with complex structures as an admin
  • Strong knowledge of Google suite of products (Google slides and sheets), MS Office (Word, Excel, Powerpoint). Knowledge of Keynote and Slack a plus.
