Job Description

This position entails building asset manager engagement and participation in Barron's advisor programs through increased sponsorships, advertising, and underwriting. Strong interpersonal communication skills as well as acumen and confidence in direct client contact via phone and e-mail are necessary for success.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the Asset Management MD in all business development activities 
  • Assist in the research and coordination of all sales efforts for the Barron’s Global Wealth and Asset Management Program.
  • Participate in the filtering and selection of Content for GWAM national programs
  • Field calls from asset managers on the program and/or specific events
  • Create and distribute marketing material
  • Work broadly with the GWAM team in developing advisor program initiatives 
  • Manage client contact and sponsorship data

Skills/Abilities

  • Excellent communication and listening skills
  • The ideal candidate should be highly motivated and organized
  • Prior experience working in wealth management or financial services is preferred
  • Sales and marketing experience is preferred
  • Knowledge of capital markets and asset classes
  • Must be a team player with the ability to work effectively in a team or independently
  • Ability to represent the firm professionally with internal and external contacts
  • Knowledge of Excel, Word, and PowerPoint programs 
  • Experience
  • 2-4 years of relevant work experience
  • BS / BA degree required
  • Completion of or progress toward CIMA/CFA is a plus but not required
