Job Description

Deputy Chief, Corporate Bureau

 

The Corporate Bureau in New York is looking for a deputy bureau chief to help drive the Journal's coverage of some of the world's biggest businesses and the people who run them.

 

The talented reporters in this bureau cover telecoms like AT&T/Verizon, retailers like Wal-Mart/Macy's, railroads and transports like FedEx/UPS, consumer products firms like P&G/Coca-Cola/Nike, small businesses, corporate governance/CEOs and behemoths like GE. These are core topics for WSJ subscribers and fertile ground for big scoops and ambitious stories.

 

The ideal candidate is a skilled reporter/editor with an eye for good stories who is creative about digital forms of storytelling and delivering for readers across platforms, with a particular focus on mobile. This person should be able to juggle the demands of breaking news and ambitious enterprise projects, including leders. Above all, we're looking for a colleague who is a true team player.
